Serenity Funeral Home Leduc Obituaries: Remembering Wesley Fay

Wesley Fay, a devoted husband, son, and friend, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2023, at the age of 35 years. His untimely departure has left his loved ones with immense grief, and it is with great sadness that we announce his passing.

Born and raised in Leduc, Wesley was a proud resident who had many connections to the community. He worked as a Fitter/Journeyman Welder at Ja-Co Welding and Consulting Ltd., where he was well-liked by his co-workers. His passion for his work and dedication to his profession were evident in everything he did.

Wesley is survived by his mother, Laurie Fay of Leduc; his nephew, Charlie-Ray Fay of Calgary; Grandmother Carol Kokas; Uncle Perry; Aunties Kathy (Dennis), Debbie (Ken), Bonny (Terry), Patty (Phil); and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Charles (Chuck), and brother, Garrett.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, Radiation Unit, and the System Control and Palliative Care Program for their care and support during Wesley's illness. We are also grateful to Leduc Home Care for their kindness and compassion, as well as St. Peter's Lutheran Church and its congregation for their love and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Cross Cancer Institute in memory of Wesley Fay.

A public viewing will be held at Serenity Funeral Service, 4702 - 51 Avenue, Leduc on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 5012 - 51 Avenue, Leduc, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to be held afterwards at the church.

Wesley's love for life and his infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Rest in peace, Wesley Fay. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
